One of the services given by the Church Schools Children’s Fund is SIBSHINE where we deliver Sibshops to kids who have a sibling with a disability. During Sibshops, kids get to meet and interact with other siblings in a fun, relaxed manner, discuss the good parts (and not so good parts!) about having a sibling with a disability, and learn more about the services given to such persons.
The Church Schools Children’s Fund currently runs monthly Sibshops geared towards two different age groups: 7-10 years and 11-14 years. Sibshops are run by experienced professionals who have been trained by the creator of Sibshops himself, Don Meyer. All our Sibshops follow the ‘Sibshops Standards of Practice’ and are registered with the Sibling Support Project. For further information, you may visit https://siblingsupport.org/sibshops/.
