The Church Schools Children’s Fund (CSCF) is an NGO voluntary organisation and so it depends a lot on the money that is made from various fundraising activities and donations. Throughout the year, CSCF tries to create various events that will help with its funding.
An annual event which is very popular is held in November, on Children’s Day. On this day schools are encouraged to hold an enjoyable and fun activity with their students and to donate the money collected on the day to CSCF.
In December a Christmas Card competition takes place where students of all ages are encouraged to participate and design a Christmas card. A number of schools also hold an advent calendar activity where both staff members and students collect items of food and toiletries. These are then passed on to CSCF who distribute them to families in need.
From this year CSCF will be introducing two more annual fundraising activities. These are a summer barbeque and a car treasure hunt.
All these events help CSCF to provide support to any students in church schools and their families who need any form of financial, emotional and social support.
